Benefits of small group training

It can be hard to motivate yourself to drive to the gym as the mornings and evenings get darker. Small group trainings gives you the extra boost you need to get up and get involved while keeping your fitness and health goals in place.

Check out the other benefits small group training can have on your winter exercise routine.

Having Fun while doing it
Lets face it, it will always be more fun to work with others than to work out on your own! Although the aim of any personal training plan is to produce amazing results, while you are practicing, it is important to have fun to ensure that your morale remains high and that you remain positive about sticking to your training schedule. Training with others gives you the chance to feed off other group members and enjoy some brief fun with your co-trainers (although not too often–remember that you're here to work hard and get great results!). Simply put, personal training for small groups makes learning more enjoyable–and that can only be nice!

Adherence
There are study packages that suggest that if you're interested in a Small Group Personal Training program then you're more likely to stay with it and keep training regularly over the long run. Now you have to think about other people–and if you start slacking then you and your personal trainer are accountable to them! It's this increased level of accountability that helps drive you forward and make sure you stick to your training program and makes it your long-term commitment.

Friendly Competition
It is an opportunity for you to evaluate your rate of progress and personal goals and achievements directly against that of the other group members as you work with others. It ensures that instead of working toward your own personal goals in isolation, you have a consistent and highly informative method of measuring your performance against that of your peers–it allows you to be realistic and honest about how you're doing and whether or not you're committed to your training and nutrition plan!

Motivation
Training as part of a small team would help keep you motivated for training–there is nothing more likely to drive you to work harder than seeing other members of your group put more effort into it and advance faster than you! This is something you just don't have when you practice in isolation with a personal trainer–although they can give you the benefit of their knowledge and experience of training with others with the same objectives as you do–it's not the same as being able to compare your progress directly with that of your peers during each group session, it’s going to make you feel really good about your training and motivate you to keep working harder. It really is a win-win situation for all!

Setting and reaching goals.
Small group training means you can see where your fitness level is relative to the rest of your team and work out ways to improve it. You should arrange a training system with your coach to help you progress week after week incrementally. If you can start doing five chin-ups on the 360 bar SYNRGY, see if you can get up to 10 chin-ups. If you can hang on the bar for just 20 seconds, build up to a minute. With a small group training system, you can test yourself on a number of activities and improve slowly on each of them.
